"Tokujo Kabachi!", a dorama starring Sakurai Sho (28) and Horikita Maki (21) has now officially been criticized by the Japanese bar association, it has been learned today.

The dorama focuses on the work of notary publics and their settlement negotiations. Now the Osaka bar association claims that the characters of the dorama often actively violated the Bengoshi-Ho, the Lawyers law. There is something called the Hiben Katsudo, a law that exists for the prevention of non-attorney activities. It basically says that only lawyers may claim recompenses in cases of traffic accidents, divorces, insolvency, debts and so on. Notary publics are no lawyers and therefore they have no right trying to get recompenses from the other party.

There may have been situations where the characters in TokuKaba exceeded their powers, but it's based on a manga and just a fictional story. However, the bar association sees it as a promotion of such acts and wrote TBS a letter voicing their protest against the dorama. They are not suing them or anything, but they expect an apology in form of canceling any DVD and rebroadcasting plans.

On April 01 the two Arashi members Ninomiya Kazunari (26) and Sakurai Sho (28) have been spotted enjoying the cherry trees that are currently in full bloom. Occasions where people go out to gaze at the beautiful cherry blossoms like this are called ohanami or sakura viewing, a term most of you have probably heard already. Anyway, Ninomiya and Sakurai haven't been alone that day, the young actresses Mizukawa Asami (26) and Eikura Nana (22) were with them all the time.

Sounds like a great and fun outing of some very popular young stars in Japan. They didn't even try to disguise themselves and simply enjoyed being together. So what's the occasion? Is it time for more dating rumors again?

"Most people might still not be aware, but Mizukawa is actually very close with the members of Arashi. Even in their private time they often go out to have some meals together. Once she appeared together with Aiba Masaki (27) in a movie and there were rumors about them being in a relationship. Eikura, on the other hand, is a very good friend of Mizukawa," an official of a broadcasting station explained the foursome.

That seems to explain all the fun they seem to have had that day. People said that Mizukawa simply wasn't able to stop smiling all day long. However, it wasn't just a random get-together under the trees, they've actually had a reason to be together.

"April 01 was the birthday of Takahashi Katsumi (49). The four of them have been seen carrying a cake to a café and congratulating him on his birthday," an official from an agency resolved the situation. Several other influential actors such as Tsutsumi Shinichi (45) or Toda Keiko (52) attended the little party at this café near the cherry trees as well. The staff at the café even had to stay 40 minutes longer than the official closing time, because the group simply had too much fun and didn't want to end the party. The group then split up while some of them decided to keep partying elsewhere, a few of them even until 2 am in the night.

It was the tabloid FLASH that reported about this event and published several snapshots from the party. Eikura was said to be in a very good mood. She was a bit tipsy and linked arms with the others. Ninomiya was kind of leading the foursome to the party and was carrying a lot of stuff for them. Nagasawa Masami is know to be good friends with Mizukawa and Eikura as well and it was surprising not to see her at the party, but I guess she tries to avoid any public appearances together with Ninomiya.

Arashi (嵐) member Sho Sakuari (櫻井翔) will star in the new CM of Mitsuya Cider (三ツ矢サイダー) with Shonentai (少年隊) member Noriyuki Higashiyama (東山紀之). They attended the press conferment on March 15th. It is announced that Sakurai would play the main role in "Mitsuya Cider"'s CM titled "Cider boys", while Higashiyama would be in "Mitsuya Cider All Zero"'s CM titled "Evolution".

As the "junior" member of the same company, Sakurai said: "When I was in a car the other day, I saw Mr. Higashiyama, wearing a jersey, running with full speed in the street. And I though 'oh, that is Mr. Higashiyama's private life of the rumor.'" And Higashiyama responded tenderly with a little embarrassment: "You saw me!"

However, there is a similar scene in the CM with Higashiyama running, and he commented: "I showed myself. And I think human beings can grow without limitation."
"Mr. Higashiyama is always progressing with the age." said Sakurai with an admiring look.

In the chapter "Cider Boys" of Sakurai, Arashi's new song titled "To be free" will be used to match the refreshing and clear image of Mitsuya Cider. The instrumental version will be used in the chapter "Clear Quality" as well. The new CM has been on air from March 16th. Check it out!

Masako Ohara of the Kuwabata Ohara comedy duo has revealed in her official blog on Monday that Takashi Tajima and Takahiro Kochi's Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 workplace manga will be adapted into a live-action drama series next January. The story centers around the employees of a legal document firm.

Ohara herself will appear in the first episode, while the main cast consists of Sho Sakurai (Honey and Clover, Yatterman) of the Arashi musical group and Maki Horikita (Always: Sunset on Third Street, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva).

Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 has been running in Kodansha's Weekly Morning magazine since 1999, and there are now 18 compiled book volumes published. Both the Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 manga and the original Kabachitare! manga are the creations of Naniwa Kin'yudo creator Yuuji Aoki. The original Kabachitare! manga has already been adapted into a live-action television drama series in 2001 with a different cast and an average 19.3% rating. Naniwa Kin'yudo was adapted into two live-action television drama series in 1996 and 2007.

The Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 television series will premiere in January on Japan's TBS network.

On September 17th the Arashi members appeared in their own TV variety program ‘ひみつの嵐ちゃん / Secret Arashi’s TV Show’. The actress Inoue Mao guest starred in the program, and was asked about her type. She replied that she liked men who have a ‘masculine’ side, especially those who can wolf down their food. So the Arashi members each took turns eating gyudon [牛丼 bowl of rice topped with beef] in what they thought was a manly fashion!

Before the competition, Inoue had told Sakurai Sho that she wasn’t exactly fond of men who have stooped shoulders. Eager to prove that he could be Inoue’s type, Sakurai cracked eggs with his head, applied an unseemly amount of red peppers and red pickled gingers to his gyudon, and promptly stuffed them into his mouth. He then claimed that the gyudon had ‘no taste’, and did the unthinkable. He drank the sweet sauce used for the gyudon right from the bottle! But after all the trouble he went to, Inoue chose Matsumoto.

Sakurai’s desperate moves didn’t seem to impress Inoue…but Aiba told Sakurai “That was the best laugh I had for this year!” Maybe it wasn’t all in vain!
