Arashi (嵐) member Sho Sakuari (櫻井翔) will star in the new CM of Mitsuya Cider (三ツ矢サイダー) with Shonentai (少年隊) member Noriyuki Higashiyama (東山紀之). They attended the press conferment on March 15th. It is announced that Sakurai would play the main role in "Mitsuya Cider"'s CM titled "Cider boys", while Higashiyama would be in "Mitsuya Cider All Zero"'s CM titled "Evolution".

As the "junior" member of the same company, Sakurai said: "When I was in a car the other day, I saw Mr. Higashiyama, wearing a jersey, running with full speed in the street. And I though 'oh, that is Mr. Higashiyama's private life of the rumor.'" And Higashiyama responded tenderly with a little embarrassment: "You saw me!"

However, there is a similar scene in the CM with Higashiyama running, and he commented: "I showed myself. And I think human beings can grow without limitation."
"Mr. Higashiyama is always progressing with the age." said Sakurai with an admiring look.

In the chapter "Cider Boys" of Sakurai, Arashi's new song titled "To be free" will be used to match the refreshing and clear image of Mitsuya Cider. The instrumental version will be used in the chapter "Clear Quality" as well. The new CM has been on air from March 16th. Check it out!

On October 29th the Arashi members Ohno Satoshi and Aiba Masaki attended the press announcement of several TV commercials that promote a new line of cell phones. In the TV ads the five Arashi members appear wearing all-black outfits. They discuss freely the selling points of the new mobile phones. During the conference Ohno and Aiba displayed a newly added feature of one of the cell phones; it enables the user to take 20 photos in rapid succession. Ohno was impressed, and seemed eager to try out a 'new career'. "I never realized cell phones have become so advanced! Maybe I should become a photographer."

Aiba immediately cut in. "Johnny's members aren't allowed to have side jobs!" Everyone at the conference chuckled. Aiba said that they had filmed four different versions of the commercials, and he was very pleased with the results. "I think we were able to act naturally. They don't look scripted."

In one of the versions Arashi check out a slide type phone that has the thinnest body among all phones sold by the company. The members say "It's so thin it almost feels like it doesn't exist. Hey, that's just like our leader's [Ohno's] stage presence!" Ohno acts as if he were really pained and sits on the floor dejectedly. "Yeah, I really don't have much of a stage presence. It's the perfect phone for me."

With the abovementioned version of the TV ad in mind, Aiba tried to 'mend fences' by praising Ohno. "Actually, he [Ohno] is always looking out for the other members. He's the leader, and a vital part of the team."

At the conference Aiba and Ohno also competed in a penalty shootout. They told reporters that they had no experience playing soccer. They went head to head twice and both matches ended with a draw. The two members said "Let's play another game so we can decide who's better!" As the staff scrambled to prepare for another match, Aiba said "Are we running out of time? [To the reporters] Please wait a moment!" As with the filming, they seemed at ease during the press conference! Lastly they commented that they were able to promote the cell-phones in a 'natural way' without getting pushy.

Arashi's Ohno Satoshi (28) and Aiba Masaki (26) held a press conference earlier today to reveal their latest CMs from au. To demonstrate how to use the high speed built-in camera, one person was responsible for kicking a soccer ball towards a goal, while the other was responsible for photographing the shot. The winner will be determined by who gets the ball in the fastest and by who captures the best shot.

In the end it was Aiba who had the best kick, while Ohno had the best photo. Ohno seemed to have a real talent for taking photos and captured the precise moment as Aiba was taking the shot. He then pointed towards the photographers sitting the audience and said "I can be there too. My photography skills are so good that Aiba really shines in the photos." Ohno then suggested changing occupations, but Aiba instantly quipped "You don't need another job!"

Since February of last year, Arashi has been appearing in CMs for au. On the 30th, a new batch of CMs will be released featuring all five members together for the first time. Each will introduce a different camera phone. The backdrop used in the CM produced a very natural atmosphere and captured the close relationship between the members.
